These songs are our gift to you (see below to download them). We have dreamed for a long time about recording a few of our favorite Holiday songs. Since we're not getting any younger we figured we'd ought to do something about it if we didn't want to find ourselves sitting in rocking chairs 40 years from now still dreaming about what might have been. Besides, with 7 kids, 2 wives (that is one per brother - don't worry, this isn't "Big Love," we haven't taken on any more than we can handle) and 2 dogs between us, we figured we need the blessings that come from sharing our talents. As Kahlil Gibran says in "The Prophet, "You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give."

"Ein Dawn" is an interesting phrase. It also means "our talent." Christ's encouragement to "let your light so shine" seems especially appropriate at Christmas. As the Savior of the world, he is a light that will never be hid and can never be extinguished. His talent - his gift, was to save us all. May our simple gift of music remind you of him during the Holidays.

Love,

Rich & Chris Higbee

______________________________________________________________________________________

Download the Songs

Download each song separately by clicking on the "Download" link next to each title.

We are using a free file sharing service called Media Fire to share these songs. After you click the link, you will be taken to their website to download the song. Follow the directions and it's a piece of cake.

1. Gloria - Download
Gloria has always been a favorite of Chris' ever since hearing it as a kid - on the band U2's concert album "Under a Blood Red Sky." The original was recorded on their "October" album and has been a long time favorite of U2 fans around the world. As far as we know, it was never intended to be a Christmas song. In fact, if Bono knew what we've done, he'd probably slap us with a lawsuit. The truth is the resemblance between ours and U2s is slight. It's more like the cousin than the twin brother. If you're curious, watch this and you'll find a mop-topped young Bono belting it out - classic U2.

2. O Holy Night - Download
We've always loved "O Holy Night." It probably stems from that old Coca Cola commercial we watched as kids where the cool older brother makes it home from college for Christmas Eve despite a blizzard just in time to melt his mother's heart with a rendition (in an Irish Fisherman's sweater and plaid scarf no less!) This one's for you, Mom! We've sung O Holy Night probably two dozen times at church, family and community functions and since most of you who will be reading this fit in to one of those three categories, you're all probably sick of it (except for you Mom). That's why we wanted to give it a little twist. Just call us Two Tenors and a Hobbit Band :).
